Welcome
to the cat house
- Minky is the elder statesman of the
cat family. He is a blue Persian and is twelve years old. He can almost talk, well at least he tries his best, and
constantly chatters to us in his own vocabulary, especially when he wants something!! All the other cats respect him
as the oldest and wisest! One of his favourite pastimes is
grooming our hair, he sneaks up onto the back of our
armchair and starts licking, yuk!
- Tiffany is a chinchilla Persian and is eleven years old. She
is absolutely beautiful (as they all
are) and is the mother of Sam and Kipper. She is very
elegant and noble but friendly all the same. She had one
very unexpected litter in 1993,she went behind an
armchair and produced four kittens (two of which found
new homes). This was a shock as she had been to the vets
two days previously and he couldn't find any reason as to
her strange shape!!
- Sam is the bruiser of the household,
big and muscular yet a bit of a softy! He is eight years
old and from the same litter as Kipper. He is a real
hunter and always wants to bring us gifts (unfortunately)
He is also very demonstrative and likes to stroke your
face and curl up on your lap!
- Kipper, also aged eight as mentioned
before, is a real beauty. She is grey, black and white and
has spots and stripes (known as Mackerel markings,) hence her name (plus the fact that she slept a lot when
tiny). She is the most timid of the bunch but will let you know when
she wants some attention! She is also very vocal when she
wants her food!!

LOVER'S RULES
- The cat is not allowed in
the house
- Ok, the cat is allowed in
the house but only in certain rooms
- Ok, the cat is allowed in
all rooms ,but must stay off the furniture
- The cat can get on the old
furniture only
- Fine, the cat is allowed
on all the furniture, but is not allowed to sleep with
the humans on the bed.
- The cat can sleep on the
bed , but not under the covers or on the pillow
- Ok, the cat can sleep on
the pillow by invitation only
- Well, ok, the cat can
sleep under the covers every night and on the pillow, too
- Humans must ask permission
to sleep under the cover with the cat, only the cat can
sleep on the pillow
